How SSS Pension is Calculated
What are the three SSS pension formulas?
1. PHP 300 + (20% of AMSC) + (2% of AMSC for each CYS exceeding 10 years)
2. 40% of AMSC
3. Guaranteed Minimum: PHP 1,200 (for 10–19 CYS) or PHP 2,400 (for 20+ CYS)
Plus an additional PHP 1,000 across-the-board pension increase.
When can I file for retirement?
Optional retirement starts at age 60 (if separated from employment), while mandatory retirement age is 65 years old.
What happens if I have less than 120 contributions?
Members who reach age 60/65 with fewer than 120 contributions are eligible for a one-time lump-sum refund of all paid contributions plus interest.
Is the 13th month pension included?
Yes. SSS pensioners receive an extra 13th-month pension every December alongside their regular monthly disbursement.
