Understanding Deductions

How Salary Deductions Work

How is PhilHealth calculated in 2026?

PhilHealth premiums are calculated at 5% of monthly basic salary (subject to floor and ceiling caps), split equally 50-50 between employee (2.5%) and employer (2.5%).

How is SSS contribution determined?

SSS contributions follow the official monthly salary credit (MSC) brackets table, with the employee contributing their statutory portion up to the maximum MSC.

What is Pag-IBIG standard contribution?

The standard mandatory employee share is currently PHP 100 or PHP 200 depending on the member tier, matched equally by the employer.

How is semi-monthly (cutoff) pay computed?

Typically, net monthly pay is split equally across two 15th and 30th pay cutoffs, although some employers deduct government contributions on the first or second cutoff.
